Measurement and Evaluation of Axis Straightness of Rotary Forgings using Photogrammetry and Image Analysis
Zatočilová, Aneta ; Druckmüller, Miloslav (referee) ; Matula, Pavel (referee) ; Morovič,, Ladislav (referee) ; Brandejs, Jan (advisor)
The thesis deals with methodology proposal for shape and dimension measurement of rotationally symmetric forgings. Most of available non-contact systems are not possible to use for this purpose, mainly due to high temperatures and large dimensions of forgings. Only a few commercial systems which are designed for this specific measurement are currently in the market. These systems are based on a principle of evaluating time response of posted modulated signal. However, scientific literature shows also other approaches to the measurement, which are based on principle of triangulation and methods of image analysis. Advantage of systems based on these principles should be especially measurement speed and significantly lower price. The paper describes current state of research and development in this area and proposes a new approach which is based on passive photogrammetry and image analysis. The core of the work is devoted to the design of partial methods and their implementation in the Matlab programming language. Functionality of the methodology and the software has been verified by measuring cylindrical tubes of small dimensions in laboratory conditions. The designed methods were discussed and evaluated based on statistical analysis of the measurement results, and further steps to increase the accuracy and reduce the spread of results were suggested. Optimization and further development of this methodology could lead to the design a professional measuring system intended for this specific application.
Gear production design
Rusková, Marie ; Lidmila, Zdeněk (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design of a gear, which is located on the rear half-axle of the tractor. Due to the high torque transmission, it will be made of 12 061 steel. After assessing the various production technologies, the forging on the vertical crank press were chosen as the most optimal. Forging was designed according to the standard ČSN 42 9030. The semi-finished product is going to be a rod with a diameter of 125 mm, which will be divided by cutting to a length of 219 mm. Forging will take place in three operations. Based on the highest calculated required force, which came out to 63.16 MN, the LZK 6500 machine was chosen. An LDO 315 A/S trimming press will be used to remove the protrusion and membrane.
Production of bottom body by solid forming
Kaděra, Jakub ; Štroner, Marek (referee) ; Kopřiva, Miloslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis, which has been elaborated within Master's study programme Manufacturing Technology and Management in Industry (2303T005), submits a production proposal of production of bottom body by solid forming and its economical evaluation containing all the economical essentials needed in order to produce and specify the final price of a forging. This thesis takes in all the necessary calculations and machinery proposals according to the material of dies and to annual capacity of 250 000 pieces of forgings requested. Semi-finished product for the manufacture of forging is cut size of bars of circular cross-section of steel 14 220 ČSN 42 5510.
Drop forging of hub
Leidorf, Michal ; Kopřiva, Miloslav (referee) ; Štroner, Marek (advisor)
The Baccalaureate thesis deals with literary studies of forging. There is also processed the proposal of technology of ordered steel cog-wheel num.: BP-3-2009- 001. With regard to supposed large series of 150 000 pieces per a year, the technology of stamping on three operations at the vertical forging press LZK 4000B is chosen, the producer Šmeral brno a. s. All calculations were accomplished during the processing of the technological procedure, the following design documentation and technical-economical estimation are connected with the preceding calculations..
Drop forging of gear wheel
Bezděk, Pavel ; Dvořák, Milan (referee) ; Štroner, Marek (advisor)
Objective of this bachelor thesis is design of forging of gear manufactured by die forging. Material of gear is steel 12. According to number of forgings per year, forging of gear will be done on vertical forging press LMZ 2500 with nominal forming power of 25 MN. Dies are made of middle doped steel 19 552. In conclusion, costs of producing of gear forging with selected manufacturing technology are evaluated.
Design of forging line
Pazour, Jiří ; Štroner, Marek (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
The thesis is focused on designing of automated workplace meant for production of gear made of steel 11 523 with yearly production of 500 000 pieces. After considering all of the input data, it was decided to use die forging. A forging with flash was designed from the original shape of the gear. Forging force was calculated, and its value is 25,08 MN. Press LZK 4000 B was chosen for such force and is part of a forging line. Another machinery are induction heater KSO 1200/1,2-C40, trimming press LDO 500 A/S and lubricant mixing and supply system DAG 183 BMS. The choice of presses was justified by calculated forces. Industrial robots IRB 6660 and conveyors are providing material handling. Thesis contains two possible layouts, one with a square area of 400 m2 and another with a rectangular area of 420 m2. At the end was calculated production time of a piece. If robot were moving at 1 ms-1, production of one piece would take 25,9 s and for 2 ms-1 it would take 18,2 s.
Issues of drop forging on presses
Jelínek, Tomáš ; Štroner, Marek (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the issue of drop forging on presses. The power forming machines works with calm pressure of the forging part. Their main disadvantage is the forging of the slag layer into the product. Hydraulic and mechanical presses are used for drop forging. This technology is mainly used in series production in most industries. To achieve a quality forging is necessary proper heating of the semi-finished product to the forging temperature. This reduces deformation resistance, tool wear and the required forming force The design of the forging is based on the drawing documentation of the required part. The shape of the product is driving for the dividing plane, the size of the stock, the permissible geometry deviations and tolerances. It is also necessary to take into account the flash groove, the clamping of the dies and the type of ejector. There are many companies in the market that deal with die forging. For clarity, several of them are listed, with an overview of the machine and production portfolio.
Design of crane hook production
Horák, Tomáš ; Štroner, Marek (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design of the production of a crane hook made of C45 steel. After evaluating suitable technologies, die forging on a mechanical press was chosen. Based on the analysis of technological technology, the shape of the part was modified and all necessary additions and limit deviations of forging dimensions were determined. The semi-finished product with a diameter of 65 mm and a length of 380 mm will be formed on a cross wedge rolling mill, bent on a separate press and subsequently forged. The crank forging press LZK 3150 B from the company ŠMERAL Brno a. S., With a nominal forming force of 31.5 MN, was chosen from the calculated forming force. The construction of the dies is based on the ČSN 22 8306 standard and they are made of 19,552 steel with subsequent heat treatment.
